The first map shows the current islip town's center and the second portray the development plan.
Overall, the old center of the town will have more spots. Besides, there will be demolition and replacement of some location.
Presently in the town center, there is the main road running from west to east dividing it into two sections' as northern and southern part which have shops along with it on either side. In the north, the shops and the countryside is situated which will get replaced by a bus station, a huge shopping center and a car park. Furthermore, there is housing in the southern part which will get split into two sections in the future project. Moreover, there are two divergences from the main road in form of a by-road which lead to school and a park, one at the starting of the main road in the west and one in the east at the ending respectively leading to school and park.
According to the plan, The main road in the core of the islip town center will get replaced by pedestrians only pathway and shops right along with it in the south. Likewise, there is dual carriageway constructed in the form of a roundabout for transportation. Further, new housing will be constructed beside the car park and near the park. However, the school and park are kept at the same location but the park is downsized.
