Given are two chart indicating the information about the sex and the number of participants who have taken part in the Olympics since it started. The bar chart illustrates the number of men and women entering the Olympics while the line graph shows the amount of athletes.

From the first glance at the bar chart, it can be seen that both two genders had increase trend. The number of the male participants went up considerably from about 3000 to around 6000 between 1924 and 2012. Besides, there has been a noticeable growth in amount of female athletes from under 1000 to approximately 5000 in nearly a century. On the other hand, we can see a remarkable decrease in distance between the number of men and women.

With regard to the line graph, what can be drawn out is that the number of participants rocketed up. It increased significantly from just under 4000 in 1924 to just over 10000 in 2012. It is clear that total people who have joined the Games triple within 88 years.
