The pie charts illustrate comparison regarding how six different parts of world consume water for 3 different uses: industrial, agricultural and domestic use.
Overall, it is clear from the charts that the least popular way of utilizing water in the most parts of world is domestic purpose. Similarly, the areas of world where water is mostly consumed for industrial uses are developed continents like North America and Europe; however, in other comparatively less developed parts of earth, water is mostly utilized to satisfy agricultural needs.
Moving forward, being the areas of world utilizing water mostly for industrial consumptions, Europe and North America utilize nearly half of the total water consumption for manufacturing purpose while this method of consumption is least preferred by Central Asia, Africa and South America accounting for less than 10% of uses.
Meanwhile, agricultural use is the most popular way of using water resources in four of the areas of world. Among them, South America uses water slightly below third-quarter of total water uses; while, the three of the countries uses more than 75% of uses. Even among these three, the highest proportion (88% of total) of water uses is in Central Asia with regard to farming.
