TPO 40 Q1
The passage states possibility and challenges to human presence on venus' surface, and illustrates its inhospitability by three reasons; however, the lecturer casts doubt on the reasons.
First, the reading avers atmospheric pressure at venus' surface which is greater than the pressure at Earth's surface, and make it impossible to be tolerated by spacecrafts and any equipments which human land on venus. Conversly, the lecturer suggests to stablish floating station above the surface of venus which has less pressure and makes opportunity to stablish human being spacecrafts be land on it.
Moreover, the text states unavailability of resorvoirs of water and oxygene which are vital factors for human survival; whereas, the professor argues inavailability of these two critical factor is not only permanent but also could be produced by chemical reactions. He explained that carbon dioxide and sulfric acid in the venus' atmosphere give this opportunity to make water and oxygen in order to consumption by human .
Finally, the reading states thick clouds make a barrier for sunlight to reach venus's surface, and it is a prevention for human to use solar power cells in order to produce electricity as a source of power for human's machines and equipment; however, the lecturer posits usage of solar energy to produce electricity would occur by placing the solar panels above these clouds, and human beings can overcome the problem.
