The line graph below shows the percentage of tourists to England who visited four different attractions in Brighton.

The line graph shows the proportion of tourists, who visited four different Brighton’s tourist sports between 1980 and 2010.

Overall, it can be seen that the percentage of tourists visiting pavilion and pier has increased over the period. The visitors deciding to go to art gallery has decreased dramatically over the recorded time, whilest the proportions of festival goers, despite some fluctuations, stay steadily throughout the period.

The tourists visiting pavilion has increased sharply from around 23% to 48% during 1980 and 1995. Then it declined to reach just above 30% in 2010. The trend for art gallery was similar to pavilion. It increased from 22% to 37% during the period of 1980 and 1985. Then it started decreasing dramatically and reached just below 10% in 201 0.

The percentage of pier visitors fluctuated for 20 years from 1980 to 2000, before increasing to reach around 22% in 2010. The festival visitors decreased from 30% to 25%. The trend continued until 1995 and then increased for next five years and reached around 27% and stayed steadily for the last 10 years.
