Write a letter to a book store manager who is living in another city. Ask him/her to make available a book that you are interested in. In your letter, you should tell:
– What book you are looking for?
– Why you need this book?
– How you plan to purchase the book?
Dear Sir/Madam
I am writing to inquire about a publication on Artificial Intelligence. I am John Gresham from Birmingham.
I am looking for the latest edition of Artificial Intelligence by Anthony Hopkins which was released last week. The book is still neither available in stores at my place nor online yet. Fortunately one of my peers who was able to get a copy from your store advised me to write to you.
I am a research student at the University of Birmingham. The final year project comprises of AI and Machine learning. The concepts in this book provides a deeper insight to robotics which is essential to my project completion.
I would be grateful if you can keep a copy of the book for my sake. I can arrange the payment through a bank transfer if that is acceptable or I would not hesitate to visit London store for the purchase. Please let me know the best option. Looking forward to your reply.
Regards,
John Gresham
