You live in a room in college which you share with another student.
However, there are many problems with this arrangement and you find it
very difficult to work.
Write a letter to the accommodation officer at the college. In your letter
describe the situation
explain your problems and why it is difficult to work
say what kind of accommodation you would prefer
You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir or Madam,
Dear Sir or Madam,
My name is David Brownson and have recently joined your college who have opted for accommodation facility. On my arrival a month ago, flat number 202 was allotted to me which I am sharing with another student Sam Keating. I am writing this letter to express my dissatisfaction towards the problems I'm facing due to the poor arrangements.
Firstly, the bed that has been provided to both of us is a queen bed which is very uncomfortable. Secondly, the heating system goes off after 1.00 am and sleeping with no heating, in this chilly weather when temperatures go as low as -5 sometimes, is highly unacceptable. Not having a sound sleep and working another day affects my efficiency the next morning.
So, I would be really grateful if you could change my flat to another one which has twin bed setup. And, most importantly, which has a proper heating setup. I do not mind if you provide me a room with single occupancy.
I hope you will take a prompt action regarding my displeasure.
Yours sincerely
Amandeep singh
