You heard that there is a group of people doing unpaid work helping old people in the local community. Write a letter to the group. In your letter you should,
• Tell how you heard about the group
• Confirm the importance of their work
• Give details of what you can do to help.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am an employee who works for an international NGO which concentrates on the elderly population. It is with high privilege to understand diverse activities about your services offers towards the older people as well as wish to join your group.
Recently, going through one of the famous magazines, my eyes got stuck on the page featured about your activities offered to geriatric civilians which was highly commendable and rewarding.
Services provided by you and your member act as an eye opener the for younger generations including me. Elder people must need more attention and affection from their relatives. However, they were unattended these days by their dear ones due to other priorities and commitments. The assistance provided by your team is a great relief for them to keep up their physical and mental wellbeing.
As an experience personnel in geriatric care, I would like to join the team during late evening hours and Sundays to extend my arms for to improve the needs those unattended people. My acquired skills and abilities in health management will be an added advantage and it could enable us to guide them to lead a healthy and independent life.
It would be great if an opportunity is providedto join your voluntary work.
Yours faithfully,
Sd-/
Name.
