You visited a town last month and told your friend that you would like to meet. However, you could not make it. Write a letter to your friend.
In your letter, you should:
Express your apology.
Why you could not meet?
Making an arrangement to meet him.
Dear Rita,
I hope you and your family had a great time in the city last month and the fact that we didn't meet wasn't significant for you. I know, how long you had been waiting for my visit and I am really sorry about that but I do have a paramount reason for my absence. My older sister, whom I was at her place in the city, gave birth to her son that day and I had to be with her all day and support as only possible in the hospital. It's so incredible I'm an aunt now. Nevertheless, I am still here in the town, absolutely free and ready to visit you again. What do you think about next Sunday? We would able to attend a new exposition in the Public Art Gallery and then go for a meal to an oriental restaurant. I am sure we will have the time of our life. Let me know what you feel about my ideas.
I am waiting for your answer.
Best regards,
Sarah
