The charts below show the performance of a bus company in terms of punctuality, both actual and target (what actually happened compared to what the company was trying to achieve), and the number of complaints and passengers.
The bar charts indicate the proportion of on-time services provided by a bus company and how many passengers complained about these services in the period from 1999 to 2003.
In general, the target for the percentage of delivering services on time decreased during the period, but the actual results, mostly, did not reach the goal. Moreover, the number of complaints increased in the four out of five years.
In 1999 and 2000, the highest punctuality level was expected, that was 86% of services arriving on time. This expectation was then lowered down, to 85% in 2001 and 2002, and finally to 84.5% in 2003. The year 2000 witnessed the highest proportion of overdue services, with only 82% of bus arrived as the time committed. In 2003, however, the bus company achieved its target by providing just under 85% of bus journeys on time.
Regarding the response of the passengers, there were 70 people each 1000 journeys reported the problem of services in 1999. This figure increased considerably in the following year, with 30 more passengers complained. The feedback was only seen improved in 2001 when the number of complaints dropped to about 82 before the negative responses rose again and reached its peak of 120 in 2003.
