Some high schools require all students to wear school uniforms Other high schools permit students to decide what to wear to school Which of these two school policies do you think is better Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion
While a number of high schools make student compulsory to wear uniforms, others allow them to wear as a matter of personal choice. Although both these policies are of positive perspectives, I personally believe it is better for students to wear uniforms in high schools.
On the one hand, high schools where place a great emphasis on wearing uniforms point to the necessity of instilling unity and equality to the student, regardless of their economic background. This means that, knowledge seekers have been potentially assessed with references to their peak performance and aptitude and not based on their level of subsistence and being affluent. For example, privileged few who would afford to buy astronomical expensive clothes are equally with ordinary students at school. This in itself prevents from divisionism among students resulting in fostering a sense of dedication.
On the other hand, supporters of wearing uniforms based on free will choice in high schools, take financial matters into consideration. To put it differently, parents are bound to purchase schools' requirement as children tend to lose some small accessories several in a single year. This in turn makes parents forced to buy them repeatedly, therefore spending budget on purchasing them could be doubled. This is where this budget, in fact, can play an outstanding role: to supplement and added to knowledge through spending on extracurricular programmes and not on uniforms and defined accessories. I personally think that forcing students to dressing uniforms should not be assumed as a waste of resources thanks to promoting relationships and team spirit among them.
To conclude, I personally believe that uniforms develop a sense of belonging, commitment and unity, even if referring to the waste of money somehow.
