The two given pie charts provide proportion of males and females in employment in six broad categories, divided into manual and non manual types.
As an overall trend, a greater number of women work in non-manual occupations, and the reverse is true for men.
With regard to non- manual careers, while a greater percentage of women are found in clerical type positions, there is a smaller percentage of women employed in managerial an professional positions. Other non manual occupations in male sex is four times more common than in female, with 2% and 0,5% respectively.
As for manual occupations, the biggest difference between two sexes is in the employment of craft workers, where males make up roughly a fifth of the workforce and females constitute just above a tiny fraction at 4,5%. In terms of general labouring quantity, men, which is 11%, is slightly more popular than women, which is 6%. Interestingly, there is not a great deal of difference between the percentage of men doing other forms of manual work (25%) and women in the others (32%).
