The graph shows the number of boys and girls playing sport in an English town in 2012.
The given bar graph compares the figure representing an interest in six different sports( badminton, football, hockey, swimming, cycling, and tennis) among boys and girls of an English town in the year of 2012.
Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the majority of boys are interested in playing football followed next by tennis, while most of the girls prefer going for swimming. Although girls are ahead in sports like swimming and badminton, boys are more diverted to play other types of sports.
According to the given illustration, boys playing football is three times higher in number in front of just 20 girls. Tennis is the second most favorite sport among boys with 50 participants against only 20 girls. Also, with 15 more boys, girls lack behind boys in cycling as well. Despite a very minute difference, boys tops girls in the game of hockey by a 3:5 ratio (9 girls in comparison to 15 boys).
On the contrary, girls surpass boys in swimming and badminton. Exactly 50 and 40 girls took the former and latter activity, each was higher by 10 as against boys figure.
