You have recently visited a local school in your community. It needs people who can help renovate the building and also help with some activities. Write a letter to the principal of the school and say
– How would you be able to help?
– When and why would you do it?
– Who will help you to do it?
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to express my willingness to assist in the renovation of Sault High School, which was advertised on the school’s notice board.
Professionally, I am an Ontario certified carpenter with more than 5 years of experience in furniture making. During my visit to the school, I have seen that numerous class’ doors, as well as benches, need repairs that is something I can certainly help with. In addition, you are also organising a blood donation camp, and I would like to help in its organisation as I have handled such events in my company and can assure you to render my best services.
I am available all day during the weekends, so I can carry out the repair work during that time. Since I have been born and brought up here, I feel a sense of responsibility towards my community. This is the primary reason behind my desire to volunteer. Apart from this, by doing such selfless acts, I derive immense pleasure that is another reason why I look forward to helping in the renovation work of the school.
I have many friends just like me who are interested in giving back to society and are carpenters as well. Because the building is huge, I am confident with my some helping hands we will be able to finish the classroom repairs before the school starts on Monday.
Please respond at your earliest convenience.
Yours faithfully,
Alex Barns
