The given two maps explicate the expansion of the bookstore from the year 2000 to present day. There have been various changes over the span of twenty years.
Overall, it can be clearly seen that there are so many changes; such as extension of sitting area and changes in book shelfs with increment in different genres, whereas decline in fictional genre. In addition, there is greater focus on the on sitting are with a café.
At first glance, it can be noticed that in the year 2000, the bookstore consisted of two big sections of fictional books along with a non-fictional books section, small shelfs of art, hobbies and cookery, whereas in front of it travel and new books section. As we enter in book store there is a services desk on the extreme right corner.
Further, taking a look at the present-day map, it is evident that one of the big fictional book section has been replaced by art, hobbies and cookery and small fictional section, whereas the another one section has been removed and made non-fictional. The central area of three book shelves is in use as sitting area now along with a café just beside it which used to be non-fictional books shelf. The other areas are on the same place.
