The bar chart illustrates the changes of accommodation cost in five different cities in the two periods : 1990-1995 and 1996 to 2002 compared to 1989
All in all, only housing prices of Madrid and Frankfurt increased in the first period. During the second one,Tokyo was the only city that experienced a downward trend while London had the most significant rise.
It is clear from the chart that from 1990 to 1995, Madrid and Frankfurt had their figures climbed up to about 3% and 2% respectively. Meanwhile, the prices of New York, compared to 1989, decresed by exactly 5% and the decline in the accommodation cost of Tokyo and London was the most dramatic, by around 8% each.
Between 1996 to 2002, the cost of houses in Tokyo plunged slightly by 5%. On the other hand, the opposite was true for other cities. London underwent the most noticeable upswing, by about 12%. The stastitics of New York also increased steadily by 5%. Likewise, Madrid had its housing cost rose to about 4% followed by a rocket of around 1% in Frankfurt
