A friend has written to you asking for advice about a problem at work. You have had a similar problem in the past.
Write a reply to your friend. In your letter:
Tell your friend you understand the problem
Explain what happened to you in the past
Suggest possible solutions to the problem
Dear Harry,
I hope you are doing well. I got your letter yesterday and I understood your problem which you have mentioned in your letter. I am writing this letter to share some advice and my experience as I have already faced a similar situation.
You’ve mentioned in your letter that your organization isn’t ready to hike your salary even after three consistent years. I faced this type of circumstance in my previous organization. I did put too much effort into my work yet they weren’t convinced to hike my salary. At that time, I talked to my manager and other respective authorities. I showed them that I‘ve been a loyal, hardworking, and deserving candidate for this raise. I convinced them why they should give me a raise with the help of figures and profitable facts of my previously done tasks. After one or two meetings they understood that I deserve hike in my wages.
I’ll suggest you make a list of remarkable tasks which you’ve achieved. Try to convince your manager and explain your situation. I’m sure they will hear you out. Just in case if they are no not ready to give you any raise or any kind of appreciation then don’t be in a nutshell because there are infinite opportunities available in the market.
I hope my suggestion will help you to make a wise decision. I will keep my finger crossed and hope that everything will work out best for you.
Best Regards,
Zeisha
