I would like to explain the information about USA rates of marriages and divorces and American's marital status between 1970 and 2000 according to the charts. The comparisons will be served in the next paragraphs. Right after the explanation of marriages and divorces number from 1970 to 2000.
Married couples in USA were about 2,5 millions in 1970, and stabled until 1980. This number declined in early 1990 about a quarter millions and reached 2,250 millions. The numbers of marriages are decreased while the numbers of divorces were fluctuative. Total 2 millions people were married in 2000 when the divorced were a half of it.
Marital adults in USA in 1970 stood at 70% which are 12% higher than the 2000's. In 2000, it is numbered less than 60%. However, the dropped down level of marriage adults during 2000 are impacted by the improvement numbers of never married adults which are higher 5% than the 1970's.
Although the number of marriages had decreased, it was not because of divorces. The divorces number in USA from 1970 to 2000 still stood steadily on 1 millions people. That is all my report of summarison and comparison based on the charts.
