Park Map
The given plans illustrates GRANGE PARK in 1920 when it was first constructed and current status of the park. When the park was renovated, some of the features in the park changed.
First of all, in 1920 park had two entrances as opposite to each other. There were four planks for sitting at the left side of the park, if you enter from the entrance of ELDON STREET. The big fountain was right in middle of the park and left from that fountain big stage for musicians was there. The stage was surrounded by seats and two rose gardens which were in the direction of both entrances. Another rose garden was at the right of ARNOLD AVENUE entrance. Furthermore, right next to this rose garden there was a pond which was used for watering the plants. In front of these rose garden and pond, one glasshouse was there. One more seats of plank was at the right corner near glasshouse.
Now, after the renovation in the park only one rose garden is kept which is at the left of ARNOLD AVENUE entrance. At the left side in place of four planks of seats, one rose garden and stage of musicians, Amphitheatre for concerts is constructed. The both entrances are kept same as before. The fountain was replaced by one rose garden and four planks of seats in middle of the park. Instead of glasshouse water feature is made and where the rose garden and pond was before, cafe and play area for children is constructed. In additional to this one car parking area is constructed right under the park and the entrance kept at right corner of the park.
In conclusion park is renovated in order to kept demand of today's generation.
