A friend you met last year has invited you to visit him/her in his/her country. You have never been there before and need some information before you leave.
Write a letter to your friend. In your letter:
request advise about a gift for his/her family
ask about activities and clothing in his/her country
find out about the food
You do NOT need to write any address.
You should write at least 150 words.
Dear Natalie,
Trust you are doing great! I was elated to receive your letter and know that you have moved into a new house. Thank you for extending me an invitation to visit you in Caen, France. My itinerary for this trip is almost done and I needed your advice on a few things.
Since I have never been to France before and have little idea about the culture and weather, I would really appreciate your suggestions and tips. To be more particular, I could surely use some advice on what kinds of gifts are traditionally preferred or liked in your country so that I can buy the perfect gifts for you and your family.
Also, I couldn't find much information regarding the kind of clothing I should pack and the activities we can participate in. It would be great if you can share any insights or tips regarding this.
Lastly, I wanted recommendations regarding local food and delicacies that I should experience during my stay at Caen. Do let me know if there is anything else that I need to plan for.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Yours truly,
Manuel
