The chart below shows the percentages of the industry sector's contribution to the economy of India and Turkey in 2000.
The two pie charts make a comparison of the proportion of India and Turkey's economy in eight different industrial sectors in 2000.
Overall, it can be seen that the Indian economy experienced the highest proportion of income from the agriculture sector and the least from the construction part whilst, In Turkey, Health care and education share were overhead to Turkey's economy and minimal allocated by finance.
Firstly, agriculture was the highest contributor to India's economy which comprised almost a quarter(24%) whilst the share of government was just half of agriculture's contribution which was accounted for 12% in 2000. The trade, utilities, and transportation sectors contributed a minority of proportion(14%) to the economy of India. The construction, manufacturing, and finance share towards the Indian economy were below 10 percent, was accounted for 3%, 8%, and 5% respectively. Interestingly, the allocated income on finance, business & other sectors and leisure & hospitality sectors had an equal share which made up 17 %.
In contrast, Economic income from the health and education sector contributed the highest ratio was 17%. Trade, utilities, and transportation were second the highest contributor of Turkey that contributed exactly 16% which was 2% more than India. Income from agriculture and leisure & hospitality fields were the same at 14 % but they both sectors were presented the least contribution as compared to India in the year 2000. The proportion of Turkey's construction section provided 7 % and the manufacturing zone spent 3% more than India's economy. Surprisingly, finance was one of the sectors that were contributed the least proportion of income to both countries and it gives only 8% of the share to Turkey's economy.
