The bar chart features coffee and tea beverage consumption habits in five cities in Australia over the course of last four weeks. Overall, more than half the population in all cities with an exception of Adelaide went to cafes for coffee or tea, whilst instant coffee purchase was also well favored and buying fresh coffee is generally the least common option.
Predominantly, going to cafes was the preferred choice for Melbourne and Hobart with 64% and 63% respectively, which then followed by Sydney at just over 60% and Brisbane at over 55% in opposition to Adelaide with the least trend of under 50%. However, the only city that had the higher purchase figure of instant coffee compared to others was Adelaide with slightly over 50%. Moreover, Hobart hold the most instant coffee purchases with 2% higher ahead of Brisbane at 52%, followed by Melbourne at 48% and just faintly over 45% by Sydney.
Concisely, stocking up on fresh coffee was below 45% for all cities. It was most common in Sydney at 44% and Melbourne with 2% less of difference. Whereas Hobart was next at 39%, Adelaide and Brisbane had nearly mutual figures of just around 34%.
