the graph below shows the number of overseas visitors to three different areas in a European country between 1987 to 2007
The supplied line chart provides how many tourists from overseas visited 3 different regions of tourist attractions, namely the coast, the mountains, and the lakes, in a European country from 1987 to 2007. In general, the majority of the foreign tourists spent time visiting the coast and the lakes, the opposite was the case for that of the mountains.
It can be observed that having accounted for the largest portion of the number of visitors at the outset, the coast experienced a slight decrease in quantity, at under 38 thousand people in 1992. Nevertheless, a notable jump in this figure was visible and 1997 was the first time its quantity of tourists surpassed that of the lake, at over 50 thousand people.
Meanwhile, in 1987, in spite of fewer than 10 thousand visitors in comparison with the mountains, the lakes witnessed a significant upswing in figure and peaked at over 72 thousand people in 2002, ending up at 50 thousand people in 2007. Besides, despite a minute increase in this figure from 1987 to 2007, the mountains came to the third-place attractive area out of three places.
