You are currently taking a course at a college but you will need to have a week off during this course.
Write a letter to the college Principal. In the letter
give details of your course
explain why you need a week off
say what you want the Principal to do.
Dear Mrs Johnson,
I am writing in regard of the course in programming languages I am doing at the moment at your college. The course is amazing, since I have already learn to make simple programs and are familiar with basic principles of object oriented programming. However, I want to take a few days off, because my younger brother has suddenly decided to get married next week, and my mother said that I must attend his wedding.
He is going to arrange the wedding party in my hometown, which is far from here, approximately 1000 kilometers. I would take a plane and get there in no time, but the city is so small that the government has not built an airport yet. Thus, I am think about taking either a taxi or train, but it will take me 26 hours to get there. So I need more much time off course if I want to take my time to clean myself up and dress up for the party.
I would be grateful if you allowed me to postponed my course until I arrive from the trip. It would allow me to get a certificate and find a job in IT.
Yours sincerely,
Tolegen
