The chart shows the information relating to people within 15-minute drive service in a particular region in UK. It also compares the people living in urban areas and people living in rural areas. Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information given below.
The chart illustrates the percentages of residents in urban and rural areas that could access various services within a 15-minute drive in a specific region in the UK.
It is clear that it is reachable for most the urban dwellers to all mentioned services in 15-minute, except secondary school, while post office is the only facility that people in the countryside can access within this amount of time. Moreover, more than one-third of the rural population can drive to these places within a quarter of an hour.
All the citizens in rural and urban areas can access the post office within 15 minutes, compared to about 95% of the villagers who are able to reach primary school in this short amount of time. Within a quarter of an hour, however, secondary school is only available for 95% and 70% of city dwellers and rural ones respectively.
The figures for doctors, petrol stations and primary schools are slightly different. While the ratio people reaching doctors and petrol stations are equal with a 15-minute drive of 100% of urban people and 90% of people in the countryside, a higher proportion of villagers can have access to primary schools within the mentioned time, stood at 95%.
