The pie charts show the share of Oscar winners by film genre between 2003 and 2008. Overall, the number of Oscar winner of thriller were the highest although from 2003 to 2008 , it also decreased. Apart from science fiction, action, documentary, almost the percentage of other Oscar winner went down sighificantly.
We can see that action sector accounted for about 15% of Oscar winner in 2003 and experienced more than 10% in 2008. On the contrary, the percentage of thriller's winners dropped radipdly from nearly 90% to only about 75% in 2008. At the beginning of t he period, science fiction, romance and documentary made up about 5%, 5%, 10% of Oscar winners, respectively, and these fingures rose to 25%, 10% and 15%. While, there is only film genre, which stayed unchanged both 2003 and 2008, is comedy. It says that from 2003 to 2008 the promotion of comedy almost didn't increase.
