The diagrams illustrate the process of building an igloo.
The pictures describe how an igloo is constructed.
As illustrated in the diagram, there are 13 stages of construction, starting with the formation of snow blocks and ending with the ventilation stage for the igloo.
At the beginning of the process, hard-packed snow is cut into large blocks using a snow saw. After that, the snow saw is utilized for smoothing the edges of the blocks before the stage when those blocks are erected in a circular pattern. A larger snow block is used to fit the opening on top, while an entrance is created by digging a hole beneath the snow-blocked wall.
After the igloo is erected, all crevices outside are packed with snow, and the wall inside the igloo is smoothed manually. An entrance gate is formed in shape, then the entrance hole is covered by snow blocks above. At the ending stage, holes are created in the wall or the roof for ventilation.
