Overall, it is seen clearly that the total number of both males and females players has been increased over time, whereas males were at the top position in this list.
To comments with, nearly 3000 male athletes have taken part in the Olympics in 1924, which was around 2900 times higher than females ones. Between 1952 to 2012, the number of both increased drastically, male and female players accounted for around 6000 and 5000 respectively in 2012.
