Just after 1940, there was an increase number of cases from around 58.000 to approximately 180.000 then fell back sharply in few years before peaked again in the 1950s. Futhermore, fluctuated gradually until the late 1950s, when a vaccine was introduced then declined significantly just below 20.000 until the end of the year.
When it came to the percentages of vaccinations suddenly fall sharply from 81% to 30% in the mid-1970s, resulting a parallel rise in the incidence of the illness. However, in the 1980s, this figure began to recover and rose significantly from 1980 onwards, reaching a peak with 94% at the end of the year. In addition, there was few cases of diseases among Britain populations.
