The table and bar charts provide information about nurses in one country for the following years - 1996, 2006 and 2016 based on numbers, gender and age.
Over the years, the number of nurses in one country increased from 1996 to 2016. The gender bar chart depicts that the female nurses dominated in numbers compared to males in all the three years. The age bar graph shows a comparison of nurses numbers categorized as nurses ‘under 30’ and ‘over 30 years’ of age.

In 1996 the male to female ratio was 25:75 which changed in 2016 to 40:60 with the increase in male nurses. The age graph reveals that the nurses under 30 years were the highest, nearly 30% more in 1996. This changed in 2006 with ‘over 30’ age group nurses increased by nearly 20%. However, this gap reduced and was nearly at 50:50 ratio by 2016.
