The chart below shows how frequently people in the USA ate in fast food restaurants between 2003 and 2013
The bar graph illustrates the frequency of eating at fast-food eateries over a decade from 2003 and 2013 in the USA.
Overall, most Americans ate at a fast-food restaurant at least once a week over the 10-year period.
In 2003, at least 3 out of every 10 Americans consumed fast food at an eatery either weekly or every fortnight. Only about 5% of the population indicated that they have never had a take-out meal in a restaurant. This was similar to the pattern recorded from the survey in 2006, with roughly one-third of the residents eating out every week. By 2013, a significant percentage of the populace at almost 35% ate fast-food either once or twice a month.
It is interesting to note that two out of every five US citizens who frequent restaurants ate several times on a weekly basis in 2006 than any other year. All through the decade, less than a tenth of Americans ate every day at a restaurant or never consumed any fast-food meal when combined together.
