The pie charts below show the comparison of different kinds of energy production of France in two years.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The given pie charts provide the information about the change of different 5 categories of sources of energy produced by France over the course of ten years, namely coal, gas, petro, nuclear and other, starting in 1995.
Overall, it is immediately obvious that an upward trend was experienced in coal, gas, nuclear and others except for petro, gone into a free-fall. Additionally, coal remained the most popular over the surveyed years.
Specifically, coal was accounted for 29.80 percent in 1995. Then, this figure was increased until reaching a peak of 30.93 percent in 2005, ensued by gas, which was accelerated from 29.63 percent to a level of 30.31 percent in 2005. Not only coal and gas can be seen, but other and nuclear was also registered the same trend to approximately 9.10 percent and 10.10 percent, respectively.
Strikingly, petro, occupied 29.27 percent in 1995, was gone into a free-fall. From then on, petro was declined considerably. As a result, only 19.55 percent of the total energy consumed belonged to petro in 2005.
