The flow chart illustrates the process in which chocolate is produced.
Overall, there are 10 steps in the process of chocolate manufacturing, starting with the collection of ripe red pods and ending with pressing the inner part of cocoa beans to produce liquid chocolate.
Firstly, cocoa trees grown in S.America, Africa, and Indonesia bear ripe red pods, which are then harvested to collect white cocoa beans. After that, these beans are fermented beforey spreading in direct sunlight to dry. Subsequently, the dried beans are put in large sacks and transported by trains, lorries, or ships to factories.
At the eighth stage, the beans are roasted at a high temperature of about 350 degree and crushed to remove their outer shells. Lastly, the inner part of the beans is pressed , producing liquid chocolate. Finally, the process is completed, and chocolate has been produced from cocoa beans.
