The pies chart illustrate the amount of money which people spend on five different purposes in a country in 1950 and 2010. Overall, while in 1950, housing occupied the largest proportion of expenditure, in 2010 it was replaced by food.
Starting with 1950, it was evident that the first rank in terms of spending was housing with 72.1% and the second position belonged to food with 11.2% . Furthermore, 6.6% and 4.4% was the percentage of education and other, in the meantime, the remaining purposes were negligible.
Moving to 2010. Contradictory to other domains which experienced a significant increase, the opposite pattern was seen in the proportion of people spending on Housing and Education with 22% and 6.3%, respectively. Additionally, the figure for healthcare in this year was twice as much as that in 1950 . Finally, the respective percentage of transportation and other had increase rapidly to 14% and 19.2%.
