The maps below show the changes in a town after the construction of a hydroelectric power dam.
The picture illustrates a number of alterations in a town after the construction of a hydroelectric power dam.
Looking at the painting, it is immediately obvious that the things on the west of the river completely disappeared and the most noticeable change that occurred in the town was a huge lake.
In 1990, there was an ancient structure and a forest with rare species to the west of the river, and an irrigated cropland to the east. But with the building of a dam wall, those features no longer existed and were displaced by a large lake which is used for fishing in 2010.
The residential area on the east was moved to the south of the mountains and replaced by a big hotel. Meanwhile, two mountains on the south were used as a base to construct a hydroelectric power dam and as a result a wide range of electricity pylons was also built up nearby
