Plan A below shows the ground floor of a particular art gallery in 2005. Plan B shows the same area in the present day.
The pictures illustrate some changes which have been taken on the first floor of an art gallery from 2005 to the present.
Overall, while there are some features that have been renovated and converted on the left-hand side of the building, the right-hand side has been still unchanging. In addition, a number of new facilities have been added to the building in general.
In 2005, the front desk was located slightly to the left that has been moved to in the centre of the entrance hall. There was a café and shop in the rear-left corner of the building that have been replaced by a gallery shop. The gallery office in front of it has been removed and the area is now occupied by three vending machines.
Exhibition room 4 has been divided into two separate spaces, one has been used as a temporary collection while the other serves as a children’s area (interactive). The stairway to the upper floor has been narrowed down to generate a slot for a lift next to exhibition room 3. Outside the building, a wheelchairs ramp has been built in the entrance.
