The maps illustrate an industrial area in Norbiton in the present day compared with plans for future development of the site.
The maps given illustrate the current area of the town of Norbiton, which is used for industries, and its anticipated development in the future.
Overall, it is apparent that the plan is to change the function area, from an industrial to a residential area. While the town, the roundabout, and the farmland will remain unchanged, the area in question will undergo a complete change.
In the current town, there is a roundabout surrounded by some factories which are located next to the road to the right and around the middle. In the future, the roundabout will remain while the factories will be replaced by new facilities such as a school to the East, a playground to the Northeast, and close to the center will be shops and a new hospital.
Furthermore, the present three-way junction will be renovated to become a small roundabout. In the North, there will be a bridge over the river to provide access to the housing located in a small patch of farmland.
