Task 1: The table below shows the consumption of three basic foods, rice, wheat and maize, by people in four different countries
The table compares daily calorie intake from rice, wheat, and maize of people in four different nations.
Overall, it is apparent that each country has their own preference for a particular food regarding their primary calorie sources. Another noticeable feature is that Egypt has the largest consumption of basic foods per day out of all four countries surveyed.
In terms of rice, Cambodia is the largest consumer as an average Cambodian consumes 1445 calories worth of this food daily, followed by Egyptian at 501 calories. The figures for Mexico and Poland are insignificant.
Wheat is a staple food in both Egypt and Poland with high levels of calorie intake at 1095 and 865 calories per citizens daily, respectively. In comparison, 275 calories of this product are consumed by each Mexican, while a minimal number of 18 calories are consumed by each Cambodian.
Consumers in Mexico get the majority of their energy from maize, the figure for which is 1083 calories and is nearly double that of Egypt. The Polish, on the other hand, do not eat maize.
