Summarize the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how they cast doubt on the specific points made in the reading passage
The reading and lecture are both about the rights to migrate of families as well as workers to other nations. The author of the reading states that although this ensures little protection, there are issues regarding to it. The lecturer disagrees. He opposes that this is good enforcement of law as it confer security and attacks each of the claims made in the article.
First, the author begins by stating that the major issue of UN convention of right to migrate is that it violates the immigration policy of numerous nation. In addition, it offer rights under international laws and thus goes against the national interest of many. To cite an example, if family recommunicating is coded as right, it will cause over population of area where migration is happened. This eventually impacts on the quality of living degrading to low level. The professor believes there are flaws in the writer's position. He contends that the inacted convention rather ensures the life of people under the law. Furthermore, the law to provide protection signed by international law broadcast framework and the UN convention accord guideline about how to develop policy to incorporate the framework.
Similarly, according to the writing, migrator are moving owing to the poverty. Yet, they are seen to be wealthy since various aging country need worker and the migrants obtain opportunity to work overseas. Therefore, in order to restrict migration home country must create opportunity for people so as to employed in their home nation. The professor rebuts this argument. He puts forth the idea that great number of people are travelling either legally or illegally so it will be quiet dangerous for people. Thus, UN convention is enforced with the aim to grant security to threat that the people might face.
As we can see, the author and lecturer holds conflicting views on rights to migrants. The speaker effectively challenges the riter's argument.
