The graph below shows carbon dioxide emissions per capita in four countries from 1975 to 2010
The line graph compares four different countries regarding carbon dioxide emissions that they released over a period of 35 years, commencing from 1975. Units are measured in metric tonnes of each person.
In general, there was an upward tendency in the amount of carbon dioxide emitted by four different countries between 1975 and 2010. Additionally, Singapore produced much higher carbon dioxide emissions in comparison with China, Thailand and Vietnam, and also witnessed the most considerable fluctuation over the mentioned period.
The figure of carbon emissions released by Singapore started at around 11 in 1975 and then reached the peak at over 14 in 1990, with a substantial fluctuation. Thereafter, it dropped significantly to 11 in the final year; however, predominated over the period shown
Beginning at around 1 in the initial year, while the amount of carbon emissions produced by Vietnam stabilized and grew marginally over the mentioned period, that of Thailand witnessed a considerable rise by 4 at the end of the period. Similarly, China released at about 2 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide in the first year, after which the emissions grew threefold in 2010.
