The diagram details the process of making leather products .
This diagram illustrates the process of making leather products.
It is clear that there are three main distinct stages in the process, beginning with the transportation of the prepared raw materials to the factory and ending with the production of consumer products.
Initially, the animal skin is hanged over a rope and dried under the effect of sun heat to be delivered to the factory. The next step after this is cleaning the animal skin using lime and water, which is then dipped into some more solution for more cleaning. This cleaned skin is flattened by a big roller to smooth its texture.
Afterwards, the clean flattened skin is soaked for one more time in tannin, which is a mix of water and vegetable matter to be prepared for the following step, which is polishing. At last, the material is delivered by big trucks to the manufacturing factories to produce leather goods such as heels, bags, and balls.
