In some countries, owning a home rather than renting one is very important for people. Why might this be the case? Do you think this is a positive or negative situation?
The preference to be a homeowner has become more predominant compared to renting one in certain nations. In this essay, I would delve into some reasons that lead to this circumstance, including a sense of belonging and independence. Additionally, while there are certain perceived drawbacks, this issue benefits not only the homeowners but also a society as the whole.
First and foremost, a sense of independence is more likely to be fostered, given by the fact that all rights and responsibilities are in the hands of the homeowners which an individual renting a house does not acquire. While the desire to redecorate the interior of the house or to reconstruct the function is according to the navigation of the owner of properties, it seems easier for individuals owning their house to deliberately renovate the house only regarding their personal preferences. Furthermore, along with the sense of liberty, responsibilities on their own houses and the connection between owners and their properties are also enhanced strongly as they highly value their efforts and spirituality invested in.
While owning a house necessitates a large amount of money to invest in at first, it contains potential benefits for the long run, such as a house serving as the long-term financial insurance regardless of the fluctuation of monetary value. From the broader view of a society, due to the good maintenance of homeowners, the phenomena of gradual home deterioration or wasted buildings are mitigated significantly.
In conclusion, while renting a house is suitable for low-income families, the allure of owning personal properties seems to achieve more preference among citizens due to their sense of independence and interconnection and its significant positive outcomes such as financial insurance for owners and alleviating the burden of dead buildings.
