The chart below shows the expenditure of two countries on consumer goods in 2010
The bar chart illustrates the pounds spent on five different items by two European countries France and the UK in 2010. Overall, the French people paid more for computers and perfume, whereas cars, books, and cameras were considered more by British people. Moreover, the highest and lowest differences are between cameras and computers respectively.
The most allocated cost was related to the cars in both countries. Indeed, the amount of money spent on cars in the UK was around 450,000 pounds and in France was equal to 400,000 pounds. In spite of the fact that the total cost spent on books and computers is similar, the UK residents were more interested in books (had spent approximately 400,000 pounds) compared to the French people who spent more on computers (about 375,000 pounds).
Turning to two other goods, it is clear that less money is appropriated to them; nevertheless, the spent pounds on cameras in the UK (close to 350.000 pounds) is considerably more than the France (150.000 pounds). On the other hand, the French people spent 150.000 pounds on perfumes that is about 50.000 pounds more than the UK.
