In any field of inquiry, the beginner is more likely than the expert to make important contributions.
In today's fast-paced digital world, any field needs different people with different backgrounds and different ages. The contribution of all people makes any field rich and dynamic. The notation states that in any field of inquiry, the beginner is more likely than the expert to make important contributions. While I partially disagree with the statement, I believe that beginners can also contribute in any field with their free perspective and outlook.
First of all, in any field that needs expertise and experience, there must be experts. They use their experience to solve a problem effectively and more accurately. For instance, in the medical field, doctors need to become more expert in handling any critical situation and need to use their experience to solve the problem effectively.
Additionally, any field that needs to create new knowledge, like research, can make a lot of difference from the neophyte.
As experts have prior knowledge about the subject, they can easily create new knowledge based on their previous knowledge. In the construction field, expert engineers can develop complex structures like the tallest tower in the world. A loss of hindrance will come, but they will use their problem-solving skills and critical thinking to solve the problem effectively.
Moreover, the expert learns from their mistakes and previous history. They have an understanding of the field through their mistakes and make a difference easily compared to the novice. For example, in the teaching profession, if you have experience, you can become a professor; otherwise, you can't be a professor, so for some fields, expertise is a must to excel.
However, in some cases, beginners can contribute a lot of things because they have a new outlook on the world, can see the world from a new perspective, and can solve any problem with modern tools and techniques. For example, in the technology world, in Silicon Valley, many beginners build a lot of technological products like Facebook and Google, which are fueling the fast-paced digital world. They have contributed a lot in these fields, though they are beginners.
In conclusion, in any field, experts are more likely than beginners to make important contributions, but beginners can also contribute with their fresh perspectives and outlooks. They can also flourish in the tech world easily, but in most fields, experts play a major role in making important contributions.
