Young people in modern world seem to have more power and influence than any previous young generation.

Why is this the case?

What impact does this have on the relationship between old and young people?

There is little room for doubt that due to considerable continual developments notably technological development in recent years some inevitable alterations are being observed in our social lives. Giving domination of young rather than old people in manifold fields today as an example is necessary. Ruination of power balance ensued because of that development. This essay will elaborate on further influences of this trend in our social lives and the reason why this is undeniable fact.

For many years throughout the history, older people had predominant dominance in all areas and this position was believed to be inherited by future generations sooner or later. By the way of comparison, the situation is totally different in the status quo since the position of old people have been yielded to young people. Yet to the best of my knowledge, it is direct result of technological revolution. Obviously, young generations are able to use and operate much more widely than any other people. Young people achieved to possess dominant position by learning and controlling new technology as it controls the entire world at the same time. In addition, contributions of government policies are being real motive in reconstruction of power balance because majority of countries have been encouraging school and university programs to teach young generation more about new technology.

Collapse of this power balance might have some negative impacts on the relationship of young and old people. Most obvious influence might be loss of respect for older people as they are appreciated and loved mainly for their wisdom and power. We are observing situations in which young people are predominantly teaching old people and this believed to be vice verse according to cultural perspective. Consequently, this may bring detrimental effects for cultural diversity because most of the cultural heritage is possessed by old people and vanishing position of them puts many of those heritages at the edge of extinction.

To summarize, it is undeniable that young people now has dominant position and much more power in the world than in the past due to holding majority of new technology in their hands. This might have bad influences on the relationship between young and old people.
