Claim: Major policy decisions should always be left to politicians and other
government experts.
Reason: Politicians and other government experts are more informed and thus
have better judgment and perspective than do members of the general public.
Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the
claim and the reason on which that claim is based.
The prompts claim that we can usually learn much more from like-minded people whose views contradict our own because disagreement can cause tension, demotivation, and impede learning. The given claim is highly contentious because different people may have disparate positions and opinions on the given topic. Some may go for the topic, while other cannot argue with it at all. I both agree with the given statement that we can usually learn much more from people whose views we can share than whose views contradict our own. There are three reasons and examples are present to support the my positions are given in following paragraphs below.
Firstly, most of the countries are developed according to visions of a leader of that country, also a leader play crucial role in development of different field like education, transpotation, hospitality, and so on.
For instance, the president of Mohamad Mahathir in Malaysia who was regular two time prime minister of that country. Furthermore, he take the important decisions of that country for each sector like education, transpotation, hospitality, and so on, cause today's Malaysia is a development countries. If he cannot take good decisions of that fields, the country of Malaysia cannot develop. In effect, the important decisions should take the politicians and governments.
Secondly, politicians make country uplifting in direct as well as indirect way. For example, in India, the president Narendra Modhi play the important role in development in country, in today, India is include the most top 10 development countries in the world. If Narendra Modhi is not president of India, todays India is count as undevelopment countries like Nepal, Bhutan, and so on. Thus, important decisions of the countries is taken as from political leader.
In sum/conclusion, the reasons and examples presented to support the claim/position that partially agree with the given essay. The essay highlights the major policies decisions should always be left to politician and other government experts. The examples of Mohamad Matathir, Narendra Modhi are ilustrated to support the given essay.
