The diagrams show a structure that is used to generate electricity from wave power.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The diagrams show how electricity is generated by tidal waves in a turbine which is set up on the edge of cliff or sea wall.
The process is divided to two steps. First of all, the facility consists of turbine, column, chamber and battery. Turbine is installed in the middle of the column in which air generated in the chamber by tidal waves passes through.
The picture A depicts the first step, when waves come into the chamber, waves push the air inside the chamber and then the air spontaneously generates electricity by rotating the turbine.
In the picture B, the basic principle of mechanical motion is the same. As the tidal waves go out, negative air pressure is generated inside the chamber which makes the air more into the column spontaneously. Electricity generated is stored in a battery attached right next to the column.
In summary, electricity can be produced by natural phenomenons such as tidal waves which are deemed not to be detrimental to the environment as much as coal fuel.
