The graph and table below give information about water use worldwide and water consumption in two different countries.
The graph describe the water consumption in three different categories, agriculture, industrial use and domestic use during 1900 to 2000. Agriculture water usage had the maximum amount while the latest consumption was in domestic. Water using in agriculture had increased from about 500 km3 to more than 3000 km3 and as shown in figure until 1950 all three group had the same trend but after that slope of agriculture consumption was sharper and industrial and domestic was being increased respectively. In other word at first domestic and industrial water use had the same amount but with passing the time and improvement of industry, water consumption in this field was increasing.
Table compare water use in two countries, Brazil and Domestic Republic of Congo in 2000. Popularity in Brazil was 176 million and it had 26500 km irrigated land while Congo with 5.2 million population had just 100 km irrigated land. With these condition water consumption in Brazil was about 45 times as Congo water consumption as 359 m3.
