Age structure of country X in 3 years 1950, 2000, 2050
These three pie charts compare and contrast some stricking differences in age structure of demographic of country X in three different years 1950, 2000 and 2050. There are four age groups, namely older than 65 years old, under 20 years old, 20 to 40 yearsnold and 41 to 65 years old.
In general, while the ratio for the two younger groups is tend to fall, the older groups will be likely to increase sharply.
It can be seen that, in the year 1950, it was 53% of people who under 20. However, 50 years after, this group declined slightly to 34% and it is predicted to fall dramatically to 14% in 2050. The second biggest population in 1950 was the group of people between 20 to 40 years old, it reached 27%. In 2000, this proportion rose steadily to 28% and forcasted to decrease to 18% over 50 years. The older groups climbed considerably in 1950 to 2000 period. Two of these groups are predicted to increase tremendously in 50 years to come, they will be 33% and 35%, respectively.
