request a new card
Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to bring this to your notice that unfortunately, I lost my identity card and is unable to trace it anyway.
Last week during the annual feast, I participated in the dance competition, and while getting ready for the event, I kept my identity card in the exquisite cabinet located in the students' room. When I returned from the performance, to my surprise, the card was missing.
This has caused a great trouble for me. Neither I am able to borrows books from the library, nor I am being allowed to access computers in the computer laboratory. With the final examinations being just a month away, I am worried that if I do not get the books from the library, I would not be able to secure good grades in the finals.
Considering my situations, I would like to request you to kindly issue me a new identity card, so that I can re-access school facilities easily. Also, please suggest if there are any changes I need to pay to procure the new card.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
Tom Hilton
